PPG Developing Land Use Regulations for Fort Monmouth

About PPG

The Fort Monmouth Economic Revitalization Authority (FMERA) has retained PPG to finalize design guidelines and prepare land use regulations to implement the Fort Monmouth Reuse and Redevelopment Plan.  In 2005, the Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRCC) selected for closure Fort Monmouth which is located in Monmouth County, NJ.  By the end of this year, the fort will be closed and over 1,100 acres of Fort lands will be turned over to three host communities: Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Oceanport, NJ.  PPG is working closely with FMERA and the three municipalities to translate the design concepts in the Reuse and Redevelopment Plan into regulations that are flexible enough to respond to market conditions, based on sound sustainable planning principles, and that conform to all New Jersey statutory requirements.
